Buyk is following its NYC launch three months ago with new service to Chicago's Wicker Park, Bucktown, Old Irving Park, Ravenswood, Sheffield Neighbors and Logan Square Neighborhoods.
Buyk will begin operations in Chicago with Six Dark Stores and Plans an Additional 14 Dark Stores by the end of the First Quarter of 2022.
Buyk promises to deliver essential food, drink and necessities to the customer's door within 15 minutes or less with no minimum amount for orders or no delivery fees.
Buyk intends to expand its in-app offerings to include a broad selection of Chicago's local favorites.
How does Buyk make money? Along with leveraging efficiencies from its technologies, it also makes money from the margins on its products and uses the money saved by renting small locations that don't need to be in prime spots for foot traffic to invest in employee costs, the co-founders said.
Couriers on bicycles, called BUYKERS, deliver goods from a store located near you and orders are collected within 2 minutes and delivered in 5-10 minutes.
