Amazon plans to begin making drone delivery available later this year to customers in College Station, Texas.
Once onboarded in the program, customers in College Station and Lockaford, California will be set to receive some of the earliest Prime Air Drone Deliveries. Customers is these cities will see Prime Air eligible items on the Amazon website.
A Prime Air Drone facility will be available to house the inventory and will be located in College Station.
The drone will make 25 to 200 trips a day, when operational.
Other large companies like Walmart and Alphabet subsidiary, WING have been making progress in developing the drone delivery system after working on this project for several years.
